11 ways to improve your website

Inc.com has some tips on how you can improve your website. My top 5 fave tips:

Get into analytics
Always review your website hits. Where do your visitors come from? What are they looking for? How can you improve referral links?
Know your competitors
Always identify and review your competitor’s website. What do they have that you don’t? How can you package your company’s services/products so that it will always be better than what they offer? I suggest that you don’t just check your local competitors. You may level with international competitors.
Identify your best customers
What are your customers searching for? Learn about persona identification before you design your next website.
Boost your search rankings
Get more hits! Ranking for the right keywords gets you the customers you want.
Keep it simple.
Web 2.0 is about simplicity. Create a website flow wherein you can get your message to your customers in a maximum of 3 steps.
Offer amazon-style recommendations (did I say top 5? Sorry, I can’t do without this tip!)

How to remove spam comments on your wordpress blog

A lot of SEO companies spam blog comments just to get a link to the website they are optimizing for. I just removed 200+ pages of spam comments like:

I read similar article also named <your post title here>!, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me

I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100%, but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong.

Almost 4,000 comments like the samples above including posts that links to a viagra or porn site. Luckily for me, I know how to use SQL and I have direct access to the phpMyAdmin. If you are using wordpress and hosting your own blog (outside wordpress), you may execute the following line to remove all spam comments:

delete FROM `wp_comments` where `comment_content` like ‘%http%’

Executing that will remove at least 90% of your spam comments. This statement simply means DELETE ALL comments with http on it. With the assumption that spam comments links to a website, there is a 97% probability that a comment like this is spam.

After this, you can manually delete and report spam for the remaining.

New Moldex Website Launched!

Cartoon Illustrator

The Cartoon Illustrator will create characters, design sketches, draw backgrounds and recreate cartoons on a computer for manipulation.

Candidate must possess good drawing and design skills. They also need an eye for detail. They must have knowledge in Adobe Illustrator.

Cartoonist must have creativity, self-motivation, ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines, confidence and courage to say what they think, an interest in people, and a good sense of humor.

College degrees are not required but talent is a must so candidates must be able to present a good portfolio.
